The Exchange National Bank opened in 1923 to protect the worldly possessions of Tampa’s High Society. The founders of the bank soon discovered that there was also a desire to protect their clients’ “other-worldly” possessions as well. After consulting with the most prestigious psychics and local native Shaman, they were able to invoke “The Vault of Souls”. This paranormal purgatory was constructed in the basement of the bank and became the safe haven for carefully selected souls. To this day, Tampa’s elite gather in October, when the veil between this world and the next is at its thinnest, to enter this mysterious vault. For some it is a brief visit. For others, it is an eternity.
GUEST EXPERIENCE
Act I: The Arrival
Guests arrive at a predetermined time. After the valet has taken their car, they are welcomed, their auras are cleansed and they can enjoy the elegant surroundings of the 3 story marble bank lobby. Somber music echoes through the vastness as the anticipation builds for the next experience. Although this room is protected from evil, guests may encounter fleeting apparitions from beyond.
Act II: The Ritual
At just the right moment, small groups of guests will be called to proceed deeper into the experience. Before traveling deep underground, each guest will be issued a neutral white masquerade style face mask which they must wear at all times to protect their identity.
After a short and confined elevator ride into the darkness, guests are encouraged to explore the nearly 11,000 square feet of hidden fear. There is no defined pathway. Guests may explore, open boxes, read documents and touch anything except the spirits themselves. The spirits, however, may make physical contact to guide or instruct. It will be in the guests’ best interest to follow instructions.
Act III: The Gin Joint
After the guests return from below, they enter a 1920’s themed speakeasy bar called “The Gin Joint”. Guests are encouraged to party with the other survivors and try to relive their paranormal adventure.
Epilogue: The Readers’ Clearing
Guests can end the evening looking forward by visiting the Readers’ Clearing where local tarot readers and psychics can be employed to share visions of the future.
